Parent Agreement

Welcome to Little Feather Chinese School. Our goal is to provide a positive, engaging, and supportive learning environment where students develop Mandarin language skills, cultural awareness, communication skills, and personal growth. To help ensure a successful experience for all students and families, please review the following policies and expectations.

1. Enrollment and Registration

Enrollment is completed through the school’s registration process and is subject to available space.

Student placement is determined based on age, language background, and proficiency level to ensure appropriate instruction and classroom engagement.

The school reserves the right to adjust class placement when necessary to support student learning and program effectiveness.

2. Tuition Policy

Tuition is charged on a semester basis and reserves a student’s place in the program for the entire semester.

Tuition covers instructional costs, curriculum development, classroom materials, facility expenses, and program operations. Tuition is not calculated on a per-class basis.

3. Refund Policy

Little Feather offers one complimentary trial class for new students.

Families may attend the first class to determine whether the program is a good fit for their child before completing enrollment.

Once enrollment is finalized and tuition has been paid, tuition and fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.

No refunds, credits, or prorated tuition will be provided for:

  • missed classes
  • vacations
  • illnesses
  • schedule conflicts
  • voluntary withdrawal
  • dismissal due to violation of school policies

Because the school commits classroom space, instructional resources, and staffing based on enrollment commitments, tuition cannot be refunded after enrollment has been finalized.

    4. Attendance Policy

Regular attendance is important for student progress and classroom continuity.

Parents are encouraged to notify the school if a student will be absent.

Missed classes are not eligible for refunds, credits, or make-up classes unless otherwise determined by the school.

Students who miss multiple classes may require additional support to remain on pace with classroom instruction.

    5. Student Conduct Policy

Little Feather strives to maintain a safe, respectful, and supportive learning environment.

    Students are expected to:

    • treat teachers, classmates, volunteers, and school property with respect
    • follow classroom expectations and teacher directions
    • participate appropriately in learning activities
    • contribute positively to the school community

    Examples of unacceptable behavior include:

    • bullying or harassment
    • repeated disruption of instruction
    • inappropriate language or conduct
    • refusal to follow reasonable teacher directions
    • behavior that compromises the safety or learning of others

The school will work with families to address behavioral concerns. If a student’s behavior continues to significantly disrupt the learning environment, the school reserves the right to suspend or remove the student from the program. Tuition will not be refunded in such cases.

    6. Parent Partnership

Little Feather believes that parents are important partners in their child’s education.

    Parents are encouraged to:

    • support regular attendance
    • communicate concerns respectfully and promptly

    7. Photo and Media Release

The school may photograph or record students during classes, performances, cultural events, and other school activities.

With parental permission, photographs and videos may be used for:

    • school website

    9. Policy Updates

The school reserves the right to modify policies and procedures as needed to support student learning, safety, and program operations.
