Our history

The history of Chinese language education in South Florida is rich and long-standing, tracing back to 1995 when the school was first established with support from CASEC. Over nearly three decades, countless children have learned Mandarin, gained insights into Chinese culture, participated in various activities and performances, made friends, and contributed as volunteers.

This journey was made possible through the dedication of passionate teachers and parents, including former directors,
including Li Weigong, Cai Yong, Li Qi, Yan Xiaoshuang,  Dr. Wei Jianqin, and  Tai Su, along with many volunteer teachers who devoted their time and energy to the school.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, the school transitioned to online teaching, facing significant challenges. In early 2024, three educators passionate about Chinese education—Zhang Qiuying, Xiao Yilin, and Liu Hong—joined forces to revive the school. With generous support from the Chinese Baptist Church of Miami, which provided classrooms, and CASEC’s President Guo Rui, the school reopened as Little Feather Chinese School.
